By creating an account or using HavenCampus, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

HavenCampus is intended for university/college students and for the landlords, agents, scouts, vendors, university partners, and caretakers who work with them. You must provide accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date. Landlords, agents, scouts, and vendors must complete identity verification (a national ID/passport photo and number) before they can list a property, post a job, or sell on the marketplace.

You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access to it.

Landlords and agents are responsible for the accuracy of their property listings (including photos, pricing, and availability). Employers are responsible for the accuracy of job postings. Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of marketplace listings and for the condition of items they sell. HavenCampus reviews and verifies accounts, but does not independently verify every detail of every listing, job posting, or marketplace item, and does not guarantee the condition, safety, or legality of any property, job, or item posted by a user.

You may not post content that is illegal, fraudulent, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Rent payments are made directly between a student and the property's owner or agent (for example, via M-Pesa) - HavenCampus does not process, hold, or have access to these funds. You submit proof of payment (an image, transaction code, and any reference note) so the payment can be confirmed and reflected in your dashboard; submitting false or altered proof of payment is a violation of these terms.

Vendor subscriptions: selling on the marketplace as a verified vendor requires an active subscription. The current price and any free trial period are shown when you sign up as a vendor and confirmed the same way as a rent payment.

Scout commissions: campus scouts earn a commission for bookings they help close, tracked in their dashboard. Commission terms may be updated from time to time; you'll be able to see current terms in your scout dashboard.

Reviews should reflect your genuine experience. We may remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or that violate these terms. Messages you send through the platform (property enquiries, marketplace messages) should be respectful and relevant to the listing.

You agree not to: impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or role; post false verification documents; use the platform for anything illegal; harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users; or attempt to interfere with the platform's normal operation (for example, by scraping it at scale or attempting to bypass account verification).

HavenCampus is a platform that connects students, property owners, employers, and sellers - we are not a party to the rental agreement, employment arrangement, or sale between users, and we don't guarantee the outcome of any booking, job application, or marketplace transaction. Disputes between users (for example, over a deposit, a job's pay, or an item's condition) are between those users; we may help facilitate a resolution where we reasonably can, but we're not obligated to.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HavenCampus is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, or from the conduct of another user (including a landlord, employer, scout, or seller). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Kenyan law.

You may stop using HavenCampus at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, provides false verification information, or that we reasonably believe puts other users at risk.

We may update these terms as the platform changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for significant changes we'll aim to let you know directly.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
